About Emily
Emily Hughes (she/her) (b. 1999) is a Canadian artist and YouTube creator. Emily holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree from OCAD University, with a specialization in Drawing and Painting. Emily paints primarily in gouache and oils. Her work is largely portraiture-based as she contemplates the human condition. Each work is an exploration of memories, dreams, and the ways in which they often overlap or become indiscernible. Her work is held in private collections around the world. Emily has cultivated a global audience on social media where she shares her artistic journey and aims to educate and inspire aspiring artists.
